We're growing the Biomimicry Series to include the Gamma and Gamma APX. True twins with a difference: symmetrical nose to tail but asymmetrical from edge to edge. As turns take more force to initiate on your heel edge, we’ve made this sidecut tighter than the toe edge, so whilst the board may look uneven, it actually balances your ride equally toe-to-heel.
First developed for the Alpha and Beta, we’ve brought over our 3D-shaped Evolution Spoon Nose, now on a twin shape for the first time. At the nose, it gives a unique rolling sensation whilst transitioning between turns as well as added float in soft snow. At the tail it gives a new, looser connection whilst buttering or jamming out slashes, but the edges re-engage with pin sharp precision as soon as you lean it over. Whilst the regular camrock model is no slouch, the cambered APX version comes with a faster, harder wearing N-9000 base and dual carbon stringers on either side of the core for more pop and reactivity, but what really sets it apart is the Nidactive APX edge technology. This places the core directly over the edge, which not only looks like nothing else, but actually increases the force you can exert from your bindings, making this an agile, adaptive and engaging riding experience.
The Gamma is for freestyle focused riders who want to take skills honed in the park to the rest of the mountain. Think spinning in and out of pillow lines, finding new lines through natural halfpipes and shaping slushy hits in the spring. It’s a unique board, made for unique experiences.

The Biomimicry Series is evolving. The Gamma is the latest product of our engineers’ obsession of studying the natural world for new ways to improve snowboarding, and with this completely unique looking board, they’ve outdone themselves again.We used asymmetry to create more grip, much like the way alpine animals use slightly offset paws to gracefully master the ridgelines of mountain terrain. Whilst the Gamma is a true twin nose to tail, the heel and toe edges are shaped differently. This accounts for the inequality in precision you have turning on each edge. Gamma’s heelside sidecut is markedly tighter than the toeside, meaning it’s much easier to maintain control during frontside turns and carve. This is true both ways - great news for riders who love going switch.
The twin shape is the clue to the Gamma’s intentions: we created this board for those who can't resist launching tricks on any natural feature in their path. It’s a joy for scoping out side-hits by the piste, or for taking freestyle manoeuvres into soft slush or deep pow. If natural terrain inspires your tricks, this is the board for you.
With this in mind, we’ve used the Evolution Spoon Nose from the Alpha and Beta, but for the first time we’ve put the same 3D-shape, with its rolling edge-to-edge feel, to the tail as well. This creates the same smooth turns and float up front, but also brings a looser ride whilst flat based that complements its pin-sharp precision on edge. Paired with our tested camrock profile, Master Core, POP Carbon and N-7000 base, it’s a ton of fun to throw around and get creative with, wherever you are on the mountain.After all, that’s what the Gamma is: a creative shape, made for creative riders.
