High in the Swiss Alps, you’ll find LAAX—one of the most snowboard-friendly resorts in Europe. For nearly four decades, Resort President Reto Gurtner has transformed LAAX into a freestyle hotspot, hosting Europe’s biggest and most progressive contests and terrain parks. More recently, he and the entire LAAX community have turned their attention toward what it means to be a sustainable resort. With the help of another Reto, Reto Fry, and the team at LAAX, they are pioneering a new approach to sustainability (called GREENSTYLE) in hopes of inspiring real progress at mountains worldwide.
