Full Movie: OASEN A Vans Snowboarding Film

Vans consistently put out some of the best movies and with a stacked team of creative riders, shot in unique spots, we have to say that Oasen is no different. If you wondering what Oasen means, it is Swedish for Oasis- A pleasant area in the midst of a difficult place or hectic situation, a refuge. This pretty much sums up a lot of the world right now and Oasen not only nails the title but provides a good quality film, which is also beautifully shot by Alex Pfeffer and Matt Georges and driven by Benny Urban.

Vans had this to say about Oasen “A neon sign flickering on a dark street, capturing the attention of the Vans European snow team whilst searching for street spots on a dark winter’s evening represented a crystalizing moment. In this uncertain time – and in life in general, everyone is constantly searching for their escape – their Oasis. For us, snowboarding defines that escapism. Vans’ Europe latest film Oasen is made with the intention of inspiring others to go out and find their own Oasen this winter – wherever that may be.

Long days and nights searching out spots against the backdrop of the bleak midwinter streets of northern Europe, trying to find our Oasen. The scoping out, the dry runs, the is this even do-able?, the shaping and the sheer stoke of the first line. Opening up the city through a fresh creative outlook, with a heavy influence from a deep love of skateboarding, the Vans Euro team is proud to present Oasen.
