"Wow, January came and went so fast! Arriving back in Mayrhofen, as always, I was really excited to get back on snow and into the routine of filming again. And it was awesome having Matt McHattie back in the Zillertal and shooting again after a 2-year hiatus due to covid travel restrictions. We received a few decent snowfalls over the New Year celebrations time and scored a great week-long stretch of good conditions in mid-January. The above was filmed over 4 days in the Zillertal Valley. Unfortunately, I had a wee bit of an accident at the end of January... I crashed into a tree (lol) which resulted in a broken leg and torn MCL. Even though I had put big expectations on myself for this northern hemisphere season to produce some quality footage I am still super grateful for the days I had filming. And as always, for me, it's all about just being out in the mountains with good friends, having a laugh and playing in the snow."
