All eyes were on Corvatsch Park on Thursday and Friday for the Slopestyle qualifications of the Snowboard World Cup Corvatsch in Silvaplana, the season’s finale 2022/23 and very last event of the season. Blue bird and spring temperatures ensured happy vibes among all competitors on Thursday, whereas on Friday the weather didn’t cooperate at all for the Snowboard men’s qualification.

2-time Olympic Champion and Corvatsch title defender Anna Gasser (AUT), showcased her routine, class, and style and qualified first for the finals. Behind her on 2nd place Mia Brookes, the youngest Slopestyle World Champion of all times. Julia Marino (USA), Laurie Blouin (CAN) and Tess Coady (AUS) also moved into Sunday’s finals. Here generations meet with riders between 16 and 31 years. They are all true competitors but at the same they are supporting and cheering for each other with respect and warmth.

The men were less lucky with the weather on Friday. Fog and bad visibility made it impossible to run the qualification, which will be run on the weekend now, when also the Snowboard Finals take place. Details on website.
