Oakley Community Days

Snowboarding has been lacking some community sessions in recent years. We've had big events like the Laax Open or Natural Selection (both rad contests!), but from time to time, it's also nice to gather a bunch of people for a good ol' shred session. Oakley did just that with their Community Days the other week in Laax. Pro coachings, new gear to test, good music, good vibes and one hell of a community run to top it all off.

From January 13th to 15th, Oakley invited their staff, athletes and media friends to their Community Days. From CEO to local shredder, everyone was there to test new outerwear, accessories, and the new PRIZM goggles (more about that coming soon!). On and off the hill, the program was stacked with panel talks, pro coaching and some well-earned drinks at the end of the day. If you've ever been to Laax, you know what we mean. Indy was (once again) stacked with Annika Morgan, David Djite and Elio Fumagalli on the decks to hype people up for another night at Rider's Club.

Of course, partying was just one part of the Oakley Community Days. Ståle Sandbech, Annika Morgan, Max Preissinger and Yanneck Konda did some pro coaching with the local riders in the park during the day, and everyone was able to chat about the latest PRIZM technology with some of the product designers who are in charge of making your view more clear up on the hill.

It's good to see brands care about bringing together the community, whether that's riders, CEOs, local riders or marketing folks. If you have the chance to be at next year's Community Days, go drop by, say hi and get some laps in. After all, that's what it's all about, right?
