The LAAX OPEN will take place from 18-22 January 2023. The world-renowned freestyle event now also has freeskiing on board. The traditional Snowboard World Cup in Slopestyle and Halfpipe will now be joined by the Freeski World Cup in Slopestyle. One of the world's best freeskiers is especially pleased to finally be able to show off his skills at the prestigious international contest in his home resort of LAAX: World champion Andri Ragettli.

Of the 250 men and women planning to take part in the LAAX OPEN 2023, others too stand out in the run-up: first and foremost the 2022 Olympic champions, Snowboard Halfpipe Ayumu Hirano (JAP), Snowboard Big Air Anna Gasser (AUT), Freeski Slopestyle Mathilde Gremaud (SUI), Freeski Slopestyle Alex Hall (USA) and Freeski Big Air Birk Ruud (NOR).

The sporting highlight of the LAAX OPEN 2023 will be the finals on Crap Sogn Gion mountain on the weekend of 21-22 January 2023. The best riders from the preliminary rounds will then compete for the coveted LAAX OPEN titles, trophies and 165.000 CHF prize money. Live acts, DJ parties and photo exhibitions are also part of the freestyle festival.

A significant number of professional riders have named the LAAX OPEN as their favourite stop on the FIS World Cup Tour. Aside from having the perfect set-up, their reasons are grounded in the whole event, as LAAX freestyle has always been lived. Freestyle for everyone. For example, the 200-metre-long superpipe is permanently prepped in winter and is open to everyone, as are a variety of snow parks. No barriers between idol and fan riding the same chairlift up the mountain or tricking the same features of the P60 freestyle slope.

LAAX has just received the "World's Best Freestyle Resort" award for the seventh time in a row.
