Kühtai is ready for the Red Bull Rail Yard Premiere from March 31st to April 2nd

Red Bull Rail Yard is just around the corner: In a few days international snowboarders gather in Kühtai from March 31st – April 2nd for the new end of season event. Red Bull Rail Yard is a session from riders for riders, for pro riders as well as amateurs. It’s all about creative tricks and the joy of riding together. The “Railgarden”, specifically designed for this event, will make Jibber hearts beat faster. On top the spectacle offers US$ prizemoney.

RAILGARDEN

The final touches are put on the setup right now. One thing is clear: Kühtai hasn’t seen such an extraordinary setup before! The „Railgarden“ offers numerous rails and features for various lines. Riders can experiment as they wish. The „Railgarden“ is the vision of Olympian Clemens Millauer, who isn’t able to compete due to an injury. Clemens was involved in the format and setup conception. To the delight of his fellow snowboard colleagues, who can’t wait to drop into the “Railgarden”, a never seen before setup.

OPEN FOR ALL

The event kicks off on Friday, April 1st, with the OPEN QUALIFIER. The interest is huge and the open qualification for men is already completely full. There are a few start slots left for the women’s qualification, interested riders need to be fast to register (inscribe here). The best four women and eight men move into the main event where they will meet the invited riders.

The CLOSED QUALIFIER on Saturday, April 2nd, guarantees exciting action. The field of invited riders is diverse, Big Air and Slopestyle riders mix with passionate jibbers. Among the confirmed riders are Zak Hale (USA), Luke Winkelmann (USA), Frank Jobin (CAN), Jesse Augustinus (NED), Anna Gasser (AUT), Tess Coady (AUS), Rachida Aooulad (NED), Alexis Roland (USA) and Annika & Ethan Morgan (GER). They will drop into the “Railgarden” with the best riders from the open qualification. In the super final the best 8 women and 16 men battle each other in a captivating head-to-head format. Every rider’s pairing has two runs, the average score of both runs counts for the final ranking. Judges focus on “Overall Impression”.
