Hintertux Park Opening September 30th – October 3rd, 2022

Yet again, Hintertux glacier kicks off the park opening season across Europe, but this year is set to be even more special as the 18th edition of the Hintertux Park Opening, will return to its former glory. The Opening is scheduled from September 30th – October 3rd, 2022.

THE PARK - For nearly two decades Betterpark up on Hintertux glacier is the first choice for riders from all over the world to start the new winter season in early autumn. As usual, Betterpark Hintertux offers lines and features for various riding levels for all freestylers, both for the rookie as well as the for the pro. Wille Kaufmann and his team provide an ever-changing setup until December 4th, also the Halfpipe will be ready to drop in this autumn.

WHAT’S HAPPENING? - The Opening weekend offers plenty of program: At the park Slopestyle riders will show off at the big jump for “Werni’s Big Air Session” by Quiksilver and Werni Stock, local hero and professional snowboarder. At the Burton Quarterpipe Session it’s all about style. The “Metal Battle presented by SANE! Snowboarding” is finally back after the tremendous success at its introduction three years ago and takes place directly next to the valley station. Crazy jib-action for everyone to watch! The youngest shredders are invited to join the KIDS SHRED with rider’s coaching, DJ workshop and more (registration KIDS SHRED). Those who are interested in new gear, plan a visit at the demo village at Tuxer Fernerhaus, as the snowboard industry is onsite with their quiver of brand-new products to test on-snow. Snowboard enthusiasts can expect all of this and much more at the very first Opening of the season.
