The Corvatsch Halfpipe Opening will go down on February 24th, 2024!

A perfect pipe makes freestyle hearts beat faster. Drop in, take off, fly, land – a long air, two, three, four rotations, and a handplant to finish. How playful it looks! And how marvellous it is that the Engadin is home to the world's newest halfpipe. Located in the Corvatsch Park at the Murtèl middle station at 2,700 metres above sea level: it brags unmissable walls 170 metres long and 7 metres high.

The Corvatsch Halfpipe Opening will take place on Saturday, 24 February 2024. From 10.30 a.m., riders from the past and present will officially inaugurate the halfpipe and show in their runs what is possible with snowboarding and freeskiing. At 11:30 a.m. the halfpipe is open to everyone. Kids from the FRESK freestyle school will be given tips and tricks at 1.30 p.m..

Halfpipe riders from Swiss-Ski and Swiss-Snowboard will also be there. The US-American Alex Ferreira, currently the world’s best halfpipe freeskier, will also be attending the opening of the halfpipe at Corvatsch. Ferreira has won all three World Cups so far this winter and X-Games gold. He won't miss the inauguration of the world's newest halfpipe – especially as the FIS Freestyle, Freeski & Snowboard World Championships St. Moritz will be held here in Corvatsch Park in 2025.
